Transport
What type of shipments can I send?
You can send shipments on pallets or as loose cargo. Remember, regardless of the packaging, each shipment must be secured against shifting, protected from tipping over, and free from liquid leaks.
We do not transport explosives, radioactive materials, pyrotechnics, weapons, ammunition, drugs and psychotropic drugs, tobacco and alcohol products without excise marks or with foreign excise marks, human and animal remains. In addition, we do not transport loads which, due to their dimensions, cannot be secured sufficiently to be able to start driving safely. The driver has the right to refuse to accept a load for carriage if it is incorrectly packed in a way that poses a risk to safety. If the driver becomes suspicious of the legality of the goods ordered to be loaded, he can call the police to verify the contents of the load.
You can send goods of any size within the maximum dimensions.
We serve the following countries: Austria, Belgium, Croatia, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Switzerland, United Kingdom.
Of course. You can order pick-up or delivery with an individual.
If you choose yourself the type of vehicle, the vehicle you have chosen will pick it up. If you choose the partial load option, our staff will select a vehicle suitable for you.
If you order a vehicle with insufficient load space or payload, you will only be able to use the maximum available load space and payload capacity. For the remainder, you can order any of the available packages or an additional vehicle.
Pack your cargo carefully to minimise the possibility of it tipping over. Tall loads are particularly vulnerable to damage. Use suitable and sufficient materials to secure the load, e.g. on a pallet.
Damage to the load or vehicle as a result of poor packing is the responsibility of the shipper.
Loading or unloading can be done by ramp, forklift or by tail lift.
If you would like the vehicle to be equipped with a tail lift, please indicate this when placing your order. This is an extra chargeable service.
Unfortunately, we do not offer vehicles with sliding roofs. Our vehicles can be loaded from the side and the rear.
Solo and semi-trailer trucks can be loaded and unloaded from the ramp. Smaller vans do not have the appropriate ramp height and therefore require a different method of loading or unloading.
Unfortunately, we do not offer a driver loading or unloading service.
The driver will be provided with a set of conveyor belts, anti-slip mats and protective corners to secure the load.
We do not provide a pallet exchange service.
The driver will pick up the load at the date and time specified in the order. 96% of orders are collected on time.
Please enter such a request when placing your order in the "Shipment description" field. We will pass your request on to the driver, but we cannot guarantee that it will be fulfilled.
You will receive an email notification when: we accept the order for delivery, the load has been picked up and delivered.
You can check the current status in "My orders".
You will receive an e-mail notification once your freight has been delivered.
You can find a photo or scan of the shipping documents under My orders / Details.

Yes. Add another loading or unloading address when placing your order. You can select up to two loading and unloading locations each.

Yes. We handle shipments to Switzerland, Norway and UK. Remember to prepare all customs documentation and arrange and pay for customs clearance.
No. If your transport requires customs clearance, you must prepare full customs documentation and arrange and pay for customs clearance yourself.
Insurance
Yes. Goods are insured for at least €50000 for the duration of the transport from loading to unloading. If you wish to transport goods of a higher value - purchase additional cargo insurance when placing your order.
If your goods have been damaged in transport, you should take photo documentation, write a damage report and inform Freighty of the incident as soon as you discover the damage. It is important to raise concerns about damage when unloading the goods while the driver is still at the point of unloading.
Damage to the goods should be reported as soon as it is discovered, during unloading. A note of the damage should be made on all copies of the transport documents, and photo documentation should be taken, a damage report should be written and Freighty should be informed of the incident. It is important to raise objections about the damage when unloading the goods, while the driver is still at the unloading point.
